While there is a team at Shockwave for everyone, please have realistic expectations regarding team placements. Allstar cheerleading is a competitive sport, and the athletes work really hard to gain new skills and progress at each level. Team placements will primarily be based upon skill requirements, age and the overall best interests of the teams and the individual athletes. Most athletes will spend between 1 and 3 years at each level developing not only their tumbling ability but also their jumps, motions and stunting ability – i.e, just having the minimum tumbling skill for a level does not mean an athlete is ready for that level. Athletes must have the majority of skills required for each level (including tumbling, jumps and stunting) before moving to that level. Our goal is not to automatically move athletes from one level to the next each season but to develop and grow strong, confident, successful and competitive athletes. Please review the skills required for each team when anticipating your team placement for next season.
